President - Anjana Radhakrishnan

Anjana is our President, leading the rest of the exec. Not only does she stand as the figurehead of the club, but she also represents the club in all SU matters, and is the Chairman to both BSAC and BOA.

Anjana: "Hi there, I’m Anjana and I’m a Life Sciences PhD student – in my 6th year at Warwick. I’ve been playing octopush with the club for two years now. I'm very enthusiastic about the development of the whole club and its members, and I'd like to make sure everyone who would like to participate and have an input, gets to do so – whether you’re new to either sport, or an experienced diver or octopush player, it’s never too late to join us. With the help of the rest of the executive committee, I hope to make the coming year a great year for all of WUSAC! "

Diving Officer - Oliver Cogbill

Ollie is in charge of diving at WUSAC - working closely with other instructors and both the Training and Equipment Officers, he oversees the work that these exec members carry out alongside organising diving trips throughout the year.

Ollie: "Hey guys! I’m Ollie, a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student. This is my 2nd year on the WUSAC Exec, with my first roles being Equipment Officer and Expeditions Officer! I have been diving for 11 years and am currently have a Sport Diver Level qualification. I am looking forward to working closely with fellow divers and other exec members to make your diving experience as good as it could be"

Octopush Officer - Matthew Johnson

Matt is both the Captain and the 'Push Officer' of the WUSAC Warriors Octopush team - this requires him to run sessions, organise attendance of external tournaments and much more besides, a role he's holding for the second year now!

Matt: "Hi! I started playing push in my first year here, and I have fallen in love with the sport and am determined to get as many people to try it as possible! I have always loved sport, and octopush is completely unique. I have not found a sport to be so challenging and also rewarding, and would encourage anyone who hasn't tried it to give it a go!"

Secretary - Joseph Allen

The Secretary manages correspondence with BSAC, be that renewing membership or sorting out new members, alongside organising exec meetings, producing meeting minutes and dealing with all the paperwork that the SU throws at us. Basically, he's around to what he can to make our club as amazing as possible!

Joseph : "Hi, I’m Joseph, and I’m a third-year economics student. I joined WUSAC right at the beginning of first year and have loved it ever since! As someone who had done some diving before they came to Warwick but had never played push in their life, I can guarantee that whether you’ve got years of experience or just want to find out more, you’ll have a great time at WUSAC and make some amazing friends. I’ll be working behind the scenes this year to keep the club running smoothly, so that you can have the best experience possible!"

Treasurer - Jack Moore

Jack looks after WUSAC's financial aspect - any money related decision goes through him at least twice, and he keeps WUSAC afloat, at least financially!

Jack: "Hey! I’m Das, an Engineering student and your Treasurer for the coming year. I joined WUSAC and began diving during my first term at Warwick and I feel I would really be lost without it – which is why I joined the exec team, so I could give back to the society and help to support the people that had introduced me to this new and exciting sport. WUSAC is an awesome club to be involved with, where you’ll meet many wonderful people and make great friends – I hope you’ll join us if you haven’t already and I look forward to meeting you!"

Social Secretary - Simona Doscoi & Meredith Whiting

Simona and Meredith are our two lovely social secs, and together they will be putting on a social calendar sure to keep all of WUSAC busy whenever above water - from Pop! to movie nights and escape rooms to T-bar Tuesdays, these two ensure we have fun events to kick off our fins for and enjoy.

Simona : "I am a bubbly teen with a passion for underwater swimming. I love to hang out with my friends and socialise as well as watch movies and shows on Netflix. I love bringing people together and making others smile and laugh. I myself can sometimes be insecure, but socialising helps me forget about my problems. As social secretary I am excited to bring both the Push and Scuba Diving clubs together and create a giant family of friends. My goal is to make everyone feel included and never feel like they’re missing out on social activities. "

Meredith: "Hey everyone! I'm Meredith, a third year GSD and Sociology student (returning from my year abroad). I've been a member of WUSAC since my first year, where I did both my ocean diver certification and joined the octopush team. I really appreciated the variety of socials over my time that allowed me to make some of the closest friends at Warwick, and cannot wait to be able to help organise a variety of events to make WUSAC the welcoming and fun environment that it has always been for me!"

James: "Hi I'm James, I'm a Chemistry student and I'm going to be the expeditions officer this year. I first became involved in scuba diving through WUSAC last year and absolutely loved it. I can't wait to give something back and help other people find the same joy in the sport that I have."

Octopush Tours Officer - Harriet Glanville
Working with our Octopush Officer, Harriet is invlved in the organisation of the octopush side of the club- especially the logistics of our tours.
Harriet: "Hiya, I’m Harriet, the push tours officer. I’m in my fourth year at Warwick doing a masters in computer science, having finished an undergrad in maths last year. I started playing push in my second term of third year and was pretty much hooked straight away! I love the adrenaline boost you get from it, and the sense of pride in your team you get when you all work together to score. I’m noticeably fitter since I started, and I’ve made some really lovely friends, so I really really recommend joining, at any time! I also play underwater rugby, so ask me about that if you’re interested! I hope to see you in the pool soon!"
