Just want to dive?If you're happy with your current diving qualifications and are just looking for a club to dive regularly with around the UK and abroad we've got you covered!
WUSAC run regular weekend trips around the UK and annual international winter and summer tours. As long as you've got an internationally recognised qualification, you are able to dive with us! Everyone who dives in the UK with us must be a BSAC member, this is easy to sort out, just contact our Secretary (j.allen@warwick.ac.uk) to fill out a form. If you want to come on any of our trips abroad, please speak to a member of the exec about necessary insurance documents you will need. Additionally, we require all new divers to go for a check dive with one of our instructors prior to coming on a trip with us so you can practice using a drysuit (UK diving gets cold!), recap some basic skills, and suss out BSACs decompression tables. After that you're all set! Just join the club to be in the know of upcoming trips. |
Continue your dive education? Please look here, for information about what your dive qualification is equal to for BSAC. This will allow you know what your next step is if you wish to progress your dive training. If you don't find your qualification there, please contact one of our instructors for help and advice.
If you do want to continue to learn to dive with us, it's as simple as enrolling on the correct course and getting brought up to speed with some small theory issues, such as the use of our version of decompression tables. All divers that crossover from another agency require a pool session in which you will go over the basics that you mastered when you learned to dive. It will also include a dry suit orientation. Then once we are happy, a trip to Stoney Cove will be organised so you can dive in a controlled open water environment. This will allow you some time to practice using a drysuit, remind you of basic skills, and remember why you started diving in the first place! If you have any questions about training, course dates or enrolment please contact our Training Officer. (t.frampton@warwick.ac.uk) |
